Every business out there has something worth selling, but the way it’s presented online doesn’t always match the true quality of the product or service. For a restaurant, hotel, cocktail program, or hospitality brand, that gap matters. A guest may decide where to eat, drink, book, or celebrate based on one photo, one menu graphic, or one social post. That's why turning photography into conversions is so important!

If we’re being honest, most restaurants we frequent have good food and drinks. But when you check out their online presence, you may find yourself surprised with the huge gap in what is portrayed online, compared to what you’ve just experienced. This is not necessarily how you lose customers, but it prevents new ones from walking in the door. Normal consumers don’t always notice “Bad” branding, but they do notice when something is inconsistent, and it raises unnecessary concerns. If you have a beautiful menu, your online presence needs to be beautiful too.

Professional photography gives your audience something to desire, even when they aren’t in the establishment. Having this paired with cohesive, consistent graphic design, gives the potential customer everything they need to make a decision. The desire to come in comes from the photograph, and the information comes from the design. If your graphic design styling is not consistent from post to post, it confuses consumers.

When we began working with Palette Bar and Grill in Hotel Indigo, the goal was not just to make the content look prettier. The goal was to help the restaurant and cocktail program feel as elevated online as it did in person. They were in the process of renovating the menu, and knew that the messaging had to be perfect in order to do so. We came on to handle everything in that realm. We come in on a weekly basis to take photos of the week's specials, we are on site at events, handling all the graphic design, and social media roll out.

This gave Palette the opportunity to market themselves as a high end restaurant with a high end cocktail program. This in turn completely changed the perspective of consumers, from in and out of town. They now see Palette for what they truly are, a fine dining restaurant, with a robust cocktail program.

Since we began this project, their page has grown from about 5,000 monthly impressions, to over 70,000. Their reservations and restaurant sales have consistently grown and continue to rise month to month. This is not something that you can just do when you want, it needs to be a consistent effort and plan. Facebook and Instagram value high quality content, so the better the content you put out, the more it will be pushed to consumers.

All in all, having visual uniformity helps consumers trust a business. Having great photos will make someone stop scrolling, a strong graphic will ensure they understand the brand. All this consistency will make them remember your business and think of you when it matters most.

If your business already has a great product, service, menu, or experience, the next step is making sure people can see it clearly. BrandScales helps local businesses turn strong visuals, consistent design, and strategic content into marketing that actually moves people.
